Candle Care Guide
Get the most from your hand-poured soy candles
First Burn is Critical
The first burn sets the memory ring. Allow the wax to melt completely to the edge of the container (approximately 2-4 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
Know Your Wick Type
Cotton Wick Candles
- Trim to 5mm (¼ inch) before each burn
- Use wick trimmers or scissors
- Removes mushrooming for cleaner burn
- Prevents smoking and soot
- Burns with a traditional flame
Wood Wick Candles
- Pinch the charred wood with a tissue before burn
- Remove all burnt wood from previous burn
- Trimming prevents wick from drowning
- Creates soothing crackling sound
- May take longer to light initially
Before Each Burn
- Trim the wick (cotton: 5mm, wood: pinch charred wood with tissue)
- Remove any wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the wax pool
- Ensure the candle is on a stable, heat-resistant surface
- Keep away from drafts, vents, and air currents
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
While Burning
- Burn for 2-4 hours at a time (maximum 4 hours)
- Keep within sight and away from children and pets
- Never burn on or near anything flammable
- Keep the wax pool free of debris
- Stop burning when 1cm of wax remains at the bottom
Storage & Placement
✓ Do
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from direct sunlight
- Use a lid or cover when not burning
- Place on heat-resistant surfaces
- Keep away from edges and drafts
✗ Don't
- Store in hot areas (above 25°C)
- Leave in direct sunlight
- Place near curtains or fabrics
- Burn on unstable surfaces
- Move while wax is liquid
Troubleshooting
This is completely normal! Soy wax naturally forms small craters and doesn't always set perfectly flat. This doesn't affect burn quality or performance - it's just what soy wax does as it cools.
First burn wasn't long enough. Remedy: Burn for longer periods to melt to edges, or carefully remove excess wax.
Wick is too long. Trim wick to 5mm (cotton) or 3-5mm (wood) before each burn.
Room may be too large or ventilated. Try in a smaller space. Ensure you're burning for at least 2 hours.
Drafts or air currents. Move to a draft-free location.
Wick needs more trimming. Pinch away all burnt/charred wood with a tissue. First light may take 30-60 seconds.

Perfume & Cologne Care Guide
Preserve your signature scent
How to Apply
Apply to pulse points where skin is warmest. Heat helps diffuse and amplify your fragrance.
Best Application Points:
- Wrists: The classic spot - inner wrists where pulse is strong
- Behind ears: Warm area that diffuses scent as you move
- Neck: Base of throat and sides of neck
- Inner elbows: Another warm pulse point
Application Technique:
- Spray 6-8 inches from skin
- Don't rub wrists together (breaks down scent molecules)
- Apply to moisturized skin for better longevity
- Start with 2-3 sprays, adjust to preference
- Layer with matching body products for intensity
Storage for Longevity
✓ Do
- Store in original box or dark place
- Keep in cool environment (15-20°C)
- Store away from direct sunlight
- Keep bottle tightly capped
- Store in dry area (not bathroom)
- Keep upright to prevent leaks
✗ Don't
- Store in bathroom (humidity damages scent)
- Leave on windowsills or sunny spots
- Expose to temperature fluctuations
- Store near heat sources
- Keep in car
- Leave cap loose
maximising Fragrance Life
- Shelf life: Unopened perfumes last 3-5 years. Once opened, use within 1-2 years.

- Preserve quality: Minimize air exposure by keeping tightly capped
- Travel tips: Use smaller decants or travel atomizers to preserve main bottle
- Seasonal rotation: Lighter scents in summer, deeper fragrances in winter
Making Scent Last Longer
Moisturize first: Apply unscented lotion before perfume - fragrance clings to hydrated skin.
Layer products: Use matching body wash, lotion, then perfume for longer wear.
Apply to hair: Lightly mist your hairbrush, then run through hair (not directly on hair).
Spray clothing: From 8-10 inches away. Test on inconspicuous area first to avoid staining.
Hanging Car Diffuser Care
Fresh fragrance on the go
Installation & Placement
CRITICAL: Keep out of direct sunlight! UV exposure will fade the diffuser, evaporate fragrance faster, and may cause damage to the product.
Best Placement:
- Hang from rear-view mirror (most common)
- Attach to air vent using clip (if provided)
- Hang from headrest hook in back seat
- Position where it won't obstruct driver's view
- Keep away from dashboard (direct sunlight)
- Avoid placing against windows
maximising Fragrance Life
✓ Do
- Keep diffuser in sealed packaging until ready to use
- Remove from car when parked in hot sun for extended periods
- Use window shades or park in shade when possible
- Keep car ventilated to help scent circulate
- Adjust AC vents to blow past diffuser (gentle airflow)
✗ Don't
- Leave in direct sunlight for extended periods
- Place on dashboard or rear window shelf
- Hang where it touches hot surfaces
- Leave in hot car all day (above 35°C)
- Spray with air freshener or cleaners
Care Tips
If any spillages occur, wipe immediately! Oil can stain and damage surfaces if left unattended.
- Lifespan: Typically lasts 2-4 weeks depending on conditions
- Fading scent: Normal as oil evaporates. Replace when scent is no longer noticeable.
- Hot weather: Scent evaporates faster in heat. Remove from hot car when possible.
- Cold weather: Scent disperses slower. This is normal and doesn't damage the diffuser.
- Touching: Avoid touching scented parts as oils may transfer to hands
Sun Protection Strategies
Use sunshades: Windshield shades protect interior and diffuser from UV damage.
Park smart: Choose shaded parking spots, covered garages when available.
Remove when parked: Take diffuser out if parking in sun for hours.
Store properly: Keep spare diffusers in cool, dark place until needed.
