The Inner Glow Subscription Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Inner Glow, Luna Grace Candle Co's exclusive monthly candle subscription service. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your subscription to The Inner Glow and constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Subscriber", "you", or "your") and Luna Grace Candle Co ("Luna Grace", "we", "us", or "our").
By subscribing to The Inner Glow, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not subscribe to The Inner Glow.
1. Subscription Overview
1.1 Service Description
The Inner Glow is a monthly subscription service that delivers one (1) hand-selected Luna Grace premium soy wax candle to your designated delivery address each month. Each candle is carefully curated based on your scent preferences as indicated during the signup process.
1.2 Subscription Characteristics
- Monthly Delivery: You will receive one candle per month for as long as your subscription remains active
- Curated Selection: Candles are hand-selected by Luna Grace based on your scent preferences; you cannot choose specific scents for each delivery
- Premium Quality: All candles are hand-poured using premium soy wax and high-quality fragrance oils
- Free Shipping: All subscription deliveries include free standard shipping to Australian addresses
- Limited Availability: The Inner Glow is limited to a specific number of subscribers to maintain quality and exclusivity
1.3 Eligibility
To subscribe to The Inner Glow, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid email address
- Provide a valid Australian delivery address
- Have a valid credit or debit card accepted by our payment processor (Stripe)
- Create a Luna Grace customer account
2. Billing and Payment
2.1 Subscription Price
The monthly subscription fee for The Inner Glow is AUD $39.00 per month, which includes:
- One (1) premium hand-poured soy wax candle (valued at $35-40)
- Free standard shipping to Australian addresses
- 15% ongoing discount on all full-priced Luna Grace products
- One-time $10 discount code for your first store purchase
- 48-hour early access to all new product releases
- Exclusive subscriber gifts and perks
2.2 Initial Payment
Upon successful subscription signup, you will be charged $39.00 immediately. This initial payment activates your subscription and covers your first monthly candle delivery.
2.3 Recurring Billing Schedule
After your initial payment, you will be automatically charged $39.00 on the 15th of each month ("Billing Date") for as long as your subscription remains active. This charge will appear on your statement as "Luna Grace Candle Co - Inner Glow Subscription".
2.4 Billing Cycle Protection
To prevent double-charging within a short timeframe, the following billing cycle protection applies:
- If you sign up between the 6th and 15th of any month, your next billing date will be the 15th of the following month (skipping the current month's 15th)
- If you sign up between the 26th of any month and the 5th of the next month, your next billing date will be the 15th of the following month (skipping the immediately upcoming 15th)
- If you sign up on any other date, you will be billed on the next occurring 15th
Example: If you sign up on February 10th (between the 6th-15th), you'll be charged immediately and then not again until March 15th.
2.5 Payment Method
All subscription payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize Luna Grace to charge your provided payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining valid and current payment information
- Ensuring sufficient funds are available for monthly charges
- Updating your payment method if your card expires or is replaced
- Notifying us immediately if your payment method is lost, stolen, or compromised
2.6 Failed Payments
If a monthly payment fails for any reason (insufficient funds, expired card, etc.):
- We will attempt to process the payment up to three (3) times over a 10-day period
- You will receive email notifications for each failed payment attempt
- If all retry attempts fail, your subscription will be automatically paused
- While paused, you will not receive candles and subscriber benefits (discounts, early access) will be suspended
- You may reactivate your subscription by updating your payment method and contacting customer service
- Luna Grace reserves the right to cancel subscriptions with repeated payment failures
2.7 Price Changes
Luna Grace reserves the right to change the subscription price with 60 days' advance notice via email. Price changes will only affect renewals occurring after the notice period. You will have the opportunity to cancel your subscription without penalty before any price increase takes effect.
2.8 Taxes
All prices include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as required by Australian law. If tax rates change, subscription prices may be adjusted accordingly with advance notice.
3. Shipping and Delivery
3.1 Dispatch Schedule
Subscription candles are dispatched 6-7 business days after the 15th of each month (your billing date). This processing time allows us to carefully hand-pour and cure each candle to ensure optimal quality.
3.2 Delivery Timeframes
After dispatch, standard delivery typically takes:
- Metropolitan areas: 3-5 business days
- Regional areas: 5-8 business days
- Remote areas: 8-12 business days
Total timeline: You can expect to receive your candle approximately 10-19 business days after the 15th of each month, depending on your location.
3.3 Shipping Address
You are responsible for:
- Providing an accurate and complete Australian shipping address
- Updating your address if you move or change locations
- Ensuring someone is available to receive the package at the provided address
Address changes must be submitted by the 10th of each month to apply to that month's shipment. Changes submitted after the 10th will take effect the following month.
3.4 Delivery Restrictions
The Inner Glow subscription is only available for delivery to Australian addresses. We currently do not ship to:
- International addresses
- PO Boxes (unless approved by Luna Grace in advance)
- Parcel lockers
3.5 Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments
- Lost packages: If tracking shows your package as delivered but you haven't received it, contact us within 7 days. We'll work with the courier to investigate and may send a replacement at our discretion.
- Stolen packages: Luna Grace is not responsible for packages stolen after delivery confirmation. We recommend selecting a secure delivery location or requesting signature on delivery.
- Damaged items: If your candle arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos. We'll send a replacement at no charge.
3.6 Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refused delivery, or recipient unavailability:
- You will be charged for return shipping costs
- We will contact you to verify the correct address
- Reshipping may incur additional fees
- Your subscription will remain active and continue to be billed monthly
4. Scent Preferences and Product Selection
4.1 Preference Indication
During signup, you will select your scent preferences from the following categories:
- Fresh / Coastal
- Woody / Earthy
- Fruity / Sweet
- Citrus / Zesty
4.2 Curation Process
Based on your indicated preferences, Luna Grace will hand-select one candle for you each month. This curated approach:
- Introduces you to new scents within your preferred fragrance families
- Eliminates decision fatigue
- Ensures you receive high-quality, professionally selected products
- May occasionally include scents outside your preferences to broaden your experience
4.3 No Scent Selection
Important: You cannot choose or request specific scents for individual monthly deliveries. The subscription model is based on curated selection. If you prefer to select your own scents, please shop our regular product line instead.
4.4 Updating Preferences
You may update your scent preferences at any time through your subscriber dashboard. Changes will apply to future selections but may not take effect for the current month if curation has already occurred.
4.5 Product Variations
Luna Grace reserves the right to:
- Substitute products of equal or greater value if a selected candle becomes unavailable
- Update candle designs, packaging, or scent formulations
- Discontinue specific scents and introduce new ones
5. Subscriber Benefits
5.1 Store Discount
Active subscribers receive a 15% discount on all full-priced Luna Grace products. This benefit:
- Applies automatically when logged into your subscriber account
- Excludes sale items, gift cards, and subscription products
- Cannot be combined with other promotional codes or discounts
- Is valid only while your subscription is active
- Terminates immediately upon subscription cancellation
5.2 First Purchase Discount Code
Upon successful subscription signup, you will receive a one-time $10 discount code via email within 24 hours. This code:
- Can be used on any full-priced store purchase
- Has a minimum purchase requirement of $30
- Expires 90 days from issuance
- Cannot be combined with the 15% subscriber discount
- Is non-transferable and has no cash value
5.3 Early Access
Subscribers receive 48-hour early access to all new product launches. Early access:
- Is communicated via subscriber-only emails
- Allows purchase before public release
- Includes limited edition and seasonal products
- May include special pre-order pricing
5.4 Exclusive Perks
From time to time, subscribers may receive:
- Free samples with store purchases
- Bonus gifts in subscription boxes
- Invitations to exclusive events
- Special limited-time offers
- Birthday surprises
These perks are provided at Luna Grace's discretion and are not guaranteed as part of your subscription.
5.5 Benefit Suspension
All subscriber benefits are immediately suspended if:
- Your subscription is paused due to payment failure
- You cancel your subscription
- Your account is terminated for Terms violations
6. Subscription Management
6.1 Account Access
You may manage your subscription at any time by logging into your account at lunagracecandleco.com.au/account. Through your subscriber dashboard, you can:
- Update scent preferences
- Change shipping address
- Update payment method
- View billing history
- Pause subscription (if available)
- Cancel subscription
6.2 Subscription Pausing
Subject to availability, you may pause your subscription for up to 3 months. During a pause:
- You will not be charged monthly fees
- You will not receive monthly candles
- Subscriber benefits (discounts, early access) are suspended
- Your subscription spot is held for the duration of the pause
Pause requests must be submitted by the 10th of the month to apply to that month's billing cycle.
6.3 Skipping Deliveries
You may skip a single month's delivery without pausing your entire subscription. To skip:
- Submit your skip request by the 10th of the month
- You will still be charged the monthly fee (your subscription remains active)
- Subscriber benefits remain active
- The candle for that month will not be shipped
- This option is available once per year
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1 Your Right to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time for any reason. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.
7.2 Cancellation Process
To cancel your subscription:
- Log into your account at lunagracecandleco.com.au/account
- Navigate to your subscriber dashboard
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation
- You will receive email confirmation of your cancellation
7.3 Cancellation Timing
- Before the 15th: If you cancel before the 15th of any month, you will not be charged for that month and will not receive that month's candle
- After the 15th: If you cancel after the 15th, you will be charged for that month, will receive that month's candle, and the cancellation will take effect the following month
Example: If you cancel on February 12th, you won't be charged on February 15th and your subscription ends immediately. If you cancel on February 18th, you've already been charged on February 15th, will receive February's candle, and your subscription ends after that delivery.
7.4 Refund Policy
- No refunds on monthly fees: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged
- Shipped products: Once a candle has shipped, that month's fee is non-refundable
- Defective products: If you receive a defective candle, we will replace it at no charge (see Section 8)
- Satisfaction issues: If you're unsatisfied with a scent, we cannot offer refunds but encourage you to gift or donate the candle
7.5 Re-subscribing
If you cancel and later wish to re-subscribe:
- You may re-subscribe if spots are available
- Due to limited capacity, we cannot guarantee availability
- You will be treated as a new subscriber with a new billing cycle
- Previous subscriber benefits do not carry over
8. Returns, Exchanges, and Product Issues
8.1 No Returns or Exchanges
Due to the curated nature of The Inner Glow, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:
- Scent preferences (you don't like the selected fragrance)
- Change of mind
- Duplicate scents from previous months
8.2 Defective Products
We will replace any candle that arrives defective or damaged. Defects include:
- Broken or cracked container
- Damaged wick that prevents burning
- Significant visual defects affecting functionality
- Wrong product shipped
8.3 Reporting Issues
To report a defective product:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide your order number and clear photos of the defect
- Describe the issue in detail
We will review your claim and, if approved, send a replacement candle at no charge.
8.4 Quality Variations
The following are not considered defects:
- Minor imperfections or color variations (hand-poured nature)
- Frosting or crystallization on soy wax (natural occurrence)
- Slight variations in scent intensity between batches
- Personal dissatisfaction with a scent profile
9. Limited Availability and Waitlist
9.1 Subscriber Limit
The Inner Glow is limited to a specific number of active subscribers to ensure:
- Personalized curation and attention
- Consistent product quality
- Exclusive, intimate experience
- Manageable production and fulfillment
9.2 Capacity Status
When subscriber capacity is reached:
- The signup form will be replaced with a waitlist option
- New subscribers cannot join until spots become available
- Spots become available when current subscribers cancel
9.3 Waitlist
If The Inner Glow is at capacity, you may join our waitlist:
- Waitlist is managed on a first-come, first-served basis
- You'll receive an email invitation when a spot opens
- You'll have 48 hours to accept and complete signup
- If you don't respond within 48 hours, the spot goes to the next person
- There's no guarantee of when a spot will become available
10. Account Responsibilities
10.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring your contact information is current and accurate
10.2 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during signup and to update this information as needed. Providing false information may result in subscription termination.
10.3 One Subscription Per Person
Each individual may hold only one (1) active Inner Glow subscription at a time. Multiple accounts for the same person may be consolidated or terminated.
10.4 Account Sharing Prohibited
You may not share your account credentials or allow others to use your subscriber benefits. Luna Grace reserves the right to terminate accounts that are shared or used fraudulently.
11. Privacy and Data
11.1 Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By subscribing, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
11.2 Information We Collect
We collect information you provide during signup and subscription management, including:
- Name and contact information
- Shipping address
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
- Scent preferences
- Account activity and communications
11.3 How We Use Your Information
- Processing and fulfilling your subscription
- Communicating about your subscription and deliveries
- Providing customer service
- Curating candle selections based on your preferences
- Sending promotional communications (you may opt out)
- Improving our products and services
11.4 Third-Party Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Shipping carriers: For product delivery
- Email service providers: For communications
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
11.5 Marketing Communications
As a subscriber, you'll receive:
- Transactional emails: Order confirmations, shipping updates, billing notifications (cannot opt out)
- Subscriber benefits emails: Early access alerts, exclusive offers (cannot opt out while subscribed)
- Marketing emails: New products, promotions, company updates (can opt out anytime)
12. Intellectual Property
12.1 Ownership
All content, designs, logos, product names, scent formulations, and materials related to The Inner Glow and Luna Grace Candle Co are the exclusive property of Luna Grace and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
12.2 Limited License
Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Access and use the subscriber dashboard for personal use
- Receive and personally use subscription products
12.3 Restrictions
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or sell Luna Grace products or formulations
- Use Luna Grace trademarks, logos, or content without written permission
- Reverse engineer or attempt to copy our scent formulations
- Resell subscription products commercially
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 Service Provided "As Is"
The Inner Glow subscription service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
13.2 Luna Grace's Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luna Grace's total liability to you for any claim related to The Inner Glow shall not exceed the total amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13.3 Exclusions
Luna Grace is not liable for:
- Delays or failures in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, carrier delays, etc.)
- Personal injury or property damage from improper product use
- Allergic reactions or sensitivities to scent ingredients (see Section 14)
- Loss of profits, business, or indirect/consequential damages
- Issues arising from third-party services (payment processors, shipping carriers)
13.4 Your Responsibility
You agree to use Luna Grace candles safely and in accordance with provided instructions. This includes:
- Never leaving burning candles unattended
- Keeping candles away from children and pets
- Following proper candle care and safety guidelines
- Discontinuing use if allergic reactions occur
14. Health and Safety
14.1 Product Ingredients
Luna Grace candles contain:
- 100% soy wax
- Fragrance oils (may contain both natural and synthetic components)
- Cotton wicks
14.2 Allergen Warning
Important: Our candles contain fragrance oils which may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. If you have known sensitivities to fragrances or specific ingredients:
- Review our ingredient disclosures before subscribing
- Perform a patch test or burn the candle in a ventilated area initially
- Discontinue use immediately if you experience any adverse reactions
- Contact your healthcare provider if reactions persist
14.3 Not for Consumption
Luna Grace candles are for external use only and should never be ingested. If accidentally ingested, contact poison control immediately.
14.4 Pregnancy and Medical Conditions
If you are pregnant, nursing, or have respiratory conditions, consult your healthcare provider before using scented candles.
14.5 Safe Burning Practices
Always follow these safety guidelines:
- Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each use
- Burn on heat-resistant surface away from flammables
- Keep away from drafts, children, and pets
- Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time
- Discontinue use when 1/2 inch of wax remains
- Never leave burning candles unattended
15. Termination
15.1 Luna Grace's Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription at any time if:
- You violate these Terms and Conditions
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- Your payment repeatedly fails
- You abuse subscriber benefits or customer service
- You provide false or misleading information
- Your actions harm Luna Grace or other subscribers
15.2 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to subscriber benefits ends immediately
- You will not receive further shipments
- You will not be charged for future months
- Already-charged fees are non-refundable unless termination was in error
- You may be prohibited from re-subscribing
16. Modifications to Terms
16.1 Right to Modify
Luna Grace reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
- Updated Terms will be posted at this URL
- The "Last Updated" date will be revised
- Significant changes will be communicated via email
- You will have 30 days to review changes before they take effect
16.2 Your Acceptance
Continued use of The Inner Glow after Terms are modified constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you don't agree with modified Terms, you may cancel your subscription without penalty during the 30-day notice period.
16.3 Material Changes
For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we'll provide at least 60 days' notice and the opportunity to cancel without penalty.
17. Dispute Resolution
17.1 Informal Resolution
Before taking any formal action, please contact us at hello@lunagracecandleco.com.au to resolve any disputes. We're committed to working with you to find a fair solution.
17.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
17.3 Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Luna Grace regarding The Inner Glow subscription.
18.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
18.3 Waiver
Luna Grace's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
18.4 Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your subscription or these Terms without our written consent. Luna Grace may transfer these Terms to any successor or affiliate without restriction.
18.5 Force Majeure
Luna Grace is not liable for delays or failures in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government actions or regulations
- Strikes or labor disputes
- Supply chain disruptions
- Public health emergencies
